Snake Plisken, a former Green Beret, now accused felon, is sentenced to life imprisonment on New York's Manhattan Island Maximum Security Prison. His only way out? Strike a deal with the cops to go in and rescue the President (who had been kidnapped earlier). Find him, and it's a full pardon. Fail, and a bomb implanted in his arteries go off.
