The trio get an SOS from someone who's trying to prevent mutants from capturing a supply of nuclear materials that could be used in weapons. When they get there they find a famous fighter named Jack Lawson who Sarge always admired. Jack once shot Sarge but didn't kill her, and she was grateful for that. Meanwhile the nuclear material is vulnerable because the forcefield that protected it is down. They have to raise the forcefield while protection the technician who put it together. But his equipment gets damaged and the only way to activate the new force field is from the inside. Jack volunteers to do so, knowing he'll be trapped. He has a touching moment with Sarge as she admires him for his bravery. But upon later reflection, they realize that Jack has a secret way out of the room from under the floor and furthermore he was there not to protect the nuclear materials but to get them for himself so he could sell them. Sarge ends up shooting him, but not fatally, and leaves him so that he might recover, as he left her. Kind of a dumb episode, really. | ||||
