Review Summaries
"Connavar is Rigante citizen that has grown up in the shadow of his father's supposed cowardice even though his father best friend and now Connavar's stepfather has told him otherwise he still feels a need to prove himself. As a result of this he grows up into a strong and brave young warrior that is fearless. When Connavar's friend Banoquin, the foreign trader, decides travels back to his home citry of Stone one last time before settling down with his wife Vorna he goes with him on his trip. Along the way Banoquin is killed and after Connavar takes his revenge he becomes a hunted outlaw until he joins with general Jasray in a campain against the people that killed his friend. Connavar kills the enemy king and is richly rewarded by the general. He takes this newly aquired wealth and returns back to the Rigante lands where he begins to prepare for the war that he sees coming between the people of stone and the Rigante. It's a race to see if he can get the Rigante people prepared, for if they aren't ready when the panthers of the Stone army arrive, they'll destroy the Rigante way of life forever."
