Review Summaries
" Amanda, Haint, Mishka, and Liddy live in a future time when the earth has been ravaged by global warming. Humans and canines have formed packs in their mutual struggle to survive.
Haint, a Weimeraner, sets off on an adventure with his human, Amanda and two of her human friends. They encounter danger at several turns along the way as they seek an answer and explanation for the environmental changes that they can feel as well as see.
In their travels across the damaged earth they overcome hardships, rogue packs, and enemies they thought were friends."

"An extraterrestrial species adopted Earth and chose the human species to sponsor. The aliens co-evolved with humans, adapting to each generation's wants and desires for companionship, thus becoming the domesticated dog of the modern world.
Haint and Amanda live in the aftermath of a cataclysmic environmental disaster, where the remaining humans and dogs have organized into "breed tribes". Humans and dogs are now completely dependent on each other for survival.
The Weimaraner village where Haint and Amanda live is faced with the life threatening crisis of low water levels. Amanda is chosen to travel through hostile territory and negotiate for water. During the journey, Haint wrestles with the impending arrival of the 'mother ship' which signals experimental failure and a heartwrenching choice for all the dog species. "
