Review Summary
Lorna Patterson is the daughter of a renowned archaeologist. Lorna doesn't fit in at her English boarding school, and she looks forward to the times when she can help her father on one of his digs in Egypt.

Ameni is an ancient Egyptian prince, brother to the pharaoh's heir. Ameni is weary of his endless lessons, and he runs away to experience adventure far from the palace. Soon after, the pharaoh dies and Ameni is tracked down by his old mentor. His mentor reveals that Ameni, and not his twin brother Senusert, is the true heir. Their identities were switched so that Ameni could serve his ultimate purpose, to protect the essence of eternity, sealed within two stone urns. Ameni is enclosed within a tomb so that he can guard those urns, and thus safeguard the afterlife of his people.

Then Lorna discovers Ameni's tomb, and inadvertently awakens the prince. One of the two urns is stolen and Lorna and Ameni team up to find and return it to Egypt. The two travel to England and track the urn across the country to, ultimately, the headquarters of a crime ring specializing in stolen antiquities. Ameni and Lorna try to retrieve the urn from the headquarters.
