"Rodney Copperbottom is a robot with a dream. He dreams of making inventions that will benefit the world of robots. However his father is only poor and Rodney must go to the big city if he is to fulfill his daring dream. Armed with a homemade invention and a steel body of bravery he goes to the big city to find the head of the robot creation company, Bigweld, a good natured and kind 'bot that owns this gigantic company. Although, when reaching the gates Rodney realises it has been taken over by an evil robot named Ratchet who is backed by his sinister mother who plans to upgrade robots and discard the rest.
