Review Summaries
"THE EYE (Jian gui) is a Thai movie written and directed by the Pang brothers. Angelica Lee won a Hong Kong film award in the Best Actress category in 2003. Since the age of two, Mun has been blind. Now she just got a cornea transplant and she's slowly recovering from the operation. After a few days, she starts to actually see the ghosts of the dead people who haven't understood yet they're dead. The young girl tries to get some support from Dr. Wah who doesn't believe her at first. But when Mun tells him that her reflexion in the mirror is another girl's who tries to tell her something, Dr. Wah is worried. Mun and Wah go to Thailand in order to find the family of the girl whose corneas have been transplanted to Mun. They'll soon discover that this young girl is the one who appears to Mun and that she has committed suicide after having been rejected from the local community because she was clairvoyant."
