THE TROLLENBERG TERROR is a British movie whose title has been changed into THE CRAWLING EYE for the American market. It was directed by Quentin Lawrence in 1958.
Climbers disappear while climbing the Trollenberg mountain in Switzerland and after getting lost in a strange cloud that is surrounding the mountain. The scientists of a neighboring observatory discover that this cloud is radioactive.
Forrest Tucker, a U.N. observer, comes to Switzerland and meets the young Anne Pilgrim who stays in the same hotel with her sister Sarah. Anne has telepathic powers and has been attracted in this town by a powerful mental force. Tucker observes that the cloud is slowly moving in the direction of the small town. The inhabitants are brought into the fortified observatory while Anne is being attacked on several occasions by the alien enemy who takes the shape of dead people to get itself into the observatory. Soon, the observatory is attacked by giant crawling eyes.
