Review Summaries
"This film was made in the era where Godzilla was a lovable hero doing high flying pro wrestling moves as opposed to the Tokyo destroying monster in the original film. Directed by the best of the Godzilla directors Inoshiro Honda, this film is part childhood fantasy and part monster movie. It's about a bullied little boy Ichiro Miki (Tomonori Yazaki) who fantasizes about Monster Island. He befriends Godzooki in the fantasy and the monsters on the island are metaphors for the problems in his life."
