Review Summaries
"AKIRA KUROSAWA'S DREAMS is a film written and directed by Akira Kurosawa in 1990. Five nominations for the Japanese Academy awards. In this picture, the Japanese director has illustrated eight of his dreams. A young boy encounters the spirits of trees that have just been cut down, climbers lost in a storm are saved by a gentle ghost, a senior military encounters the ghosts of his soldiers who refuse to die, and a tourist meets the painter Vincent Van Gogh and follows him through the landscapes Van Gogh has painted during his last days in France.
