Review Summary
Seymour (Haze) is a young man who works in a flower store. He is a geeky nebbish who loves plants and works on creating new ones, much to the chagrin of his boss, Mr. Muchnik (Welles). He is also over the moon about the beautiful, unattainable Audrey (Joseph) and tries to woo her. One day it seems Seymour has sucessfully cultivated a new plant. But this plant has an unusual diet: it wants blood. Lots of it. Now Seymour must kill to help his plant thrive.

This classic black comedy/horror film was directed by Roger Corman. A very young Jack Nicholson chews up the screen in a small, but memorable part. This film inspired the stage musical and, later, the musical film with Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene.
