Review Summary
Paul Holliston, a scientist and widower studying hormones that accelerate growth, attempts to modify a human embryo(fourteen weeks old), that he acquires from a local hospital, one judged to have no chance of independent survival. In his lab, Holliston injects the embryo with his growth hormone, "placental lactagen," and the fetus ages at an alarming rate until Holliston administers a dangerous, addictive drug to stop it. At the end of the experiment, Paul meets his "creation," a beautiful 25-year old woman, Victoria, who has no sense of morality. Paul and Victoria engage in a torrid sexual affair, but Paul's family is endangered when Victoria again begins to show signs of accelerated aging. The only way to stop this process is to transplant the pituitary gland of a five-month old fetus. Unfortunately, Paul's daughter-in-law is pregnant...and Victoria is desperate.
