Review Summaries
"Based on the Stephen King novel, DREAMCATCHER is a film written and directed by Lawrence Kasdan (The Big Chill) in 2003.
During a blizzard, four friends have to defend themselves against aliens that reproduce very quickly. While the army is destroying the alien spaceship and is hesitating to eliminate the entire population, animal and human, of the region, Dr. Henry Devlin manages to convince a senior officer to help him find an alien that is heading south, outside the quarantine zone."

"This film is based on Stephen King's best-selling novel. It is about four boys who perform a heroic act outside an abandoned warehouse. Their strong friendships and goodness is rewarded by a new mysterious friend who rewards them with powers of the mind.
Years later we see them as men, with various careers of teacher, car salesman and counsellor, (Thomas Jane). As we witness some of their abilities to read minds, they organise a trip to their cabin in Maine, where for years they have hung out underneath a dreamcatcher, symbolising the four friends and the mysterious friend that brought them closer than they could have imagined.
While they are hunting in the woods they are overtaken by a blizzard, in which something evil lurks from another planet. Morgan Freeman is the military man obsessed with ridding the Earth of any possible alien infection- including hundreds of innocent civilians.
With the friends split apart and trying to save their body-hijacked friend they have to go against the secret military force in order to save him and the rest of the world from the alien's deadly plan. Are their powers enough? Can their friendship's survive?
A great story of friendship and an act of heroism that sets them on a path to save the world.
