Review Summaries
"Zak, voiced by Jonathan Ward, works for a lumber company cutting down trees in Fern Gully, the home of a community of faeries. He unknowingly marks a tree to be cut down that imprisons a dark force, Hexxus (Tim Curry), that seeks to destroy Fern Gully and everything natural and beautiful in the world. Chrysta(Samantha Mathis) is a young faerie learning from the wisewoman of the faeries to be a healer of nature but she is too preoccupied by adventure to stick too long to her studies. She encounters Zak and shrinks him to faerie size by accident. While they are trying to find a solution to Zak's size problem he learns valuable lessons in the preservation of nature and the cruelty of mankind's pollution of the environment. "
