#6 suddenly finds himself totally alone in the village. He builds himself a raft and leaves the place (this time the Village is supposedly off the coast of Spain). He makes his way back to London and tells his spy bosses about the Village. They send him back to investigate in a plane, but he gets ejected and returned to the village.

1) This was another episode that was very cute--the idea that they were so powerful that they could release him and recapture him at any time was interesting--but it made no sense.
2) From his previous visit to his spy bosses ("The Chimes of Big Ben"), #6 already knew they were working for the Village, so why did he go back again?
3) It must have taken an elaborate effort to evacuate the village, and they took a big risk that #6 would go to the press about it. What did they get in return? Just an opportunity to rub it in his face? Doesn't make a lot of sense.
