Review Summaries
"Mickey Sandoval is chief financial officer for a company that does research in the old "Ice Pit" -- a huge former water mine on the Moon -- in the 22nd century. The company was founded by his sister Rho and her husband William Pierce. While Pierce works on his own experiments, Rho contracts to buy 410 human heads that were frozen many decades before by StarTime Preservation Society, which is going bankrupt. Among the cryogenic preserves are the heads of Mickey's and Rho's great-grandparents -- the first couple to conceive and give birth on the moon. Could they be revived, or their contents and memories accessed? It's an intriguing question, and there's plenty of room in the Ice Pit for them, but powerful business and government interests step in to try to shut the project down. Why? Under pressure from his parent corporation and financiers, Mickey must fight this takeover. This 1990 novel is short and sharp."
