Review Summaries
"An isolated and extremely beautiful planet has a population of tribal humans, likely descended from a long-ago crashed ship's inhabitants. After an unspecified but definitely lengthy period of time they have spread and become as good as a 'native race' of humans to the planet, and for a long time remain unknown to any other civilisation in the universe. A lone pilot crashes on this world, choosing to stay there. Loving the planet and it's people, he fears what will happen to it when the businessmen of Earth finally find it. Feeling sure the planet will be exploited for it's beautiful scenery and delicious-tasting native creatures and its people, though human, too primitive to know how to prevent this, he tries to teach them what they must do at the occurance of this likelihood. The pilot dies having tried his best to educate, and sure enough the business men come. What follows is the interplay of commercial politics and primitive culture as the ultra-rich entrepeneur Wembling and his company play out their tactics against the pilot's 'Plan' which the natives hardly understand, but follow blindly and which proves a worthy match to Wembling's business-mind."
