" Pinnacle, Oct 2003, 6.99, 416 pp. ISBN 0786015578 Little Horse Key is an uninhabited island in the Gulf of Mexico where psychic Mira Morales and her thirteen-year-old daughter like to picnic. One day a man in a cast lands on the island, claiming his boat is broken. When Mira goes to help him, he knocks her out and takes Annie into a strange black mist in the ocean where anything electrical or magnetic doesn't work. When they emerge from that mist Anne and her captor Patrick Wheaton are in the year 1968. Patrick has taken other children into the past through the corridor but only Rusty has survived. When Mira regains consciousness, she follows them through her psychic lines with her daughter, into the past. She is determined to find them and Mira and Annie separately leaves clues in the past. Annie's FBI lover in the present comes to realize what happened. The FBI agent and Mira are both trying to find their way to Annie, knowing that a dangerous sociopath stands between her and her loved ones. BLACK WATER is an exciting time travel thriller that is filled with plenty of action and adventure. Everything the kidnapper does is because he wants to change one crucial event in 1968 and he is taking the children as a practice run to give his mission a better chance of success. T.J. MacGregor has written a taut pulse pounding work of suspense. Harriet Klausner "
