Review Summary
This is the original film version of Shirley Jackson's "The Haunting of Hill House." A mentally fragile woman named Eleanor who recently lost her mother goes with a small group of people to investigate a old house to see if it really is haunted. The house really is haunted and does its best to scare the crap out of everyone, eventually driving Eleanor insane. Sans blood and gore, this film nevertheless still manages to creep you out.
