Review Summaries
"First published in 1882, 'Vice Versa' is every bit as funny today as when it was first acclaimed, and it has inspired more than one film, mostly recently 'Big'. The Garuda Stone is a strange and ancient artifact from India, bought back from there as a curio by the rascally black sheep of the family. In the hands of Dick Bultitude, a fourteen-year old boy who does not wish to go back to his second-tier public school, and those of an unfeeling middle-aged father who unwisely wishes he could have his schooldays again, the Stone works its magic and in a twinkling they change places. The mind of fifty-plus City Gent, used to the general dignitas of his social standing and a good cigar after supper, in the body of boy who prefers romancing the girls to learning Latin will keep you laughing right out loud."
Michael JR Jose, Resident F. Anstey Scholar
