Review Summaries
"Acorna is found in an escape pod floating in deep space by three asteroid miners, who take her in. She has silver hair, odd fingers and feet, and a little silver horn in the middle of her forehead. They soon find out she can decipher metals in asteroids, clean water and air using her horn. She also learns extremely quickly, and after two years she looks like she's six even though she only looked two when they found her. So when they go to get money for the minerals they dug and a big corporation tries to take her, the four flee to Kezdet, a planet with a secret profit of child labor. A man named Li has been trying to end child labor on the planet for years and takes in Acorna and her mining "uncles" to see what it would take to build a moon station for the orphans of Kezdet. Acorna, who at this point looks sixteen even though she's only six, frees the children from child labor."
