Review Summaries
"Brigitte Nielsen plays Red Sonja, a warrior woman who has been in training with a master since a young age. Meanwhile, nearby a clan of women maintain the talisman, a powerful tool that can wreak earthquakes and other natural disasters. They are on the verge of destroying it because it is too dangerous if it falls into the wrong hands. They are too late. An evil queen and her henchmen break in, kill the women warriors, and steal the talisman. One woman gets away and lives long enough to pass on the warning to her sister Red Sonja. Red Sonja goes on a journey to find the queen. With her is a big hulk, played by Schwarzenegger, who helps her fight her way out of situations. They also enlist the aid of a young prince (Ernie Reyes, Jr.) and his bodyguard. The four of them sneak into the queen's fortress and try to figure out a way to get the talisman and get out alive."

"Red Sonya was raped and abused leaving her with a mistrust of men. Now years later a soceress killed a cult of women and taken a powerful thing that could destroy the world. Sonya must defeat the soceress with the help of a warrior, young prince and a guard. As well saving the world she has to learn to trust men."

""I don't need eyes to fight you! I can smell you at a hundred paces!" Red Sonya, the sword-weilding chick with a lust for revenge, teams up with a generic barbarian warrior (played by Arnie himself- he might as well be Conan, but they don't call him that). Poor Sonya's village was pillaged, her whole family was slaughtered, and she was raped and left for dead. We all wish this could've been the story about how she deals with her emotional scars and learns how to move past her grief and love life again, but no. This is the story about how she picks up a sword and brings on the slaughterfest. Those poor barbarian rapists, they never knew what hit 'em. If you love cheap, hack 'em up barbarian flicks, this is one not to be missed."
