"Wallace and Grommit are back in another trilling adventure. It's Grommit's birthday and Wallace presents him with a pair of mechanical trousers- robot pants designed for walking the dog. No doubt due to Wallce's extravagant gift-giving, the bills are piling up and the piggy bank is nearly empty, so Wallace decides to let out the spare room. The new boarder is a penguin who subtly works a wedge between Wallace and Grommit: first he takes over Grommit's room, then he starts fetching the mail and Wallace's slippers, and finally, with his loud late-night music, drives Grommit to the dog house. Grommit soon begins to suspect that the penguin's intentions encompass more than just domestic affairs. The penguin's plan involves using the mech-trousers to swipe a priceless diamond from the local museum, and he very nearly succeeds. A daring chase ensues on a runaway electric train and the day is saved."
