Review Summaries
"Video compilation of the hillarious BBC show. Follows the adventures of Arthur Dent and his friends, Ford Prefect, Trillian, Zaphod Beeblebrox, and Marvin the chronically depressed robot as they search for the answer the the great question of life, the universe, and everything. Arthur wakes up one morning to discover a wrecking crew set up to demolish his house for a new bypass. Ford comes over and convinces Arthur to hitch a ride with him on an Vogon contruction ship that has just arrived to demolish the earth for a new intergallactic bypass. They escape just as the earth is blown up, are discovered by the Vogons, are maliciously tortured by the captain's horrible poetry recital and are jestisoned off the ship into outerspace. Luckily for them, Zaphod and Trillian have just stolen the Heart of Gold, an amazing ship that can take them anywhere in the universe using mathematics based on improbability, and it just so happens that it was astronomically improbable that Arthur and Ford would survive a swim through the vacuum of space, so they are consequently saved. After that they do a lot of other wierd stuff and get to see the end of the universe, and find out the answer to the great question : 42, although after the answer is revealed it becomes important to know the real question. They discover that the biggest and best computer ever created to find the question just so happened to be the earth, which was so recently blown up by the Vogons. A wonderful show well worth watching whether you've read the Hitchhikers Guide "Trilogy" or not."
