Review Summaries
"Cassie Blake only wants to go home and go to school with the friends she's known for years, but instead she and her mother are going to stay with her grandmother in New Salem. No one at Cassie's school wants to associate with her, and she can't figure out why. Then there's the Club, a group of teenagers who practically rule the town and school. Cassie keeps discovering hints that magic exists, and she knows for sure it does when the Club takes her in. Cassie has to learn to accept magic and how to deal with those Club members who don't want her as part of the group. Things get worse for her when she discovers that the guy she's in love with is the boyfriend of someone she respects in the Club."
