science fiction

I just finished watching "Do Not Foresake Me Oh My Darling." It could have been a really good spy episode. Instead, it had more holes than swiss cheese.

Consider:

1) #6 DRIVES all the way from England to Austria. Didn't they have planes in the 60's? He knew he was being watched, so what did it matter?

2) They had Saltzman's equipment--why did they need him? Why should the "reversal" be any different than doing the same procedure twice--if they put #6's brain in the colonel, why can't they simply switch beds and do the same thing again to restore them?

3) Why didn't #2 notice anything odd when Saltzman HOOKED HIS OWN BRAIN into the machine?

4) If the colonel became Saltzman, how did he know to unplug the machine?

5) AGAIN #6 goes back to his spy agency, even though he knows it is riddled with spies for the village.

6) #2 realizes what's going on as Saltzman flies away in a helicopter. But as we've seen the helicopters can be flied by remote control, or recalled. Why does #2 act like Saltzman is out of his grasp?

7) #6's fiance let a COMPLETE STRANGER make out with her, before she realizes it's #6. Is she a slut? Do you think #6 was better off not marrying her?

This episode was slow, and had too many plot holes.
"Was 'Do Not Foresake Me' the dumbest episode?"
