"This is book 2 of Starbridge. At the Starbridge academy, Tesa is a american indian who was born deaf. Earth has a chance to get first contact, but the Grus are a bird who has such a high pitched cries, that humans can not stand it. They talk with sign language. Tesa may be the perfect person to go live with the Grus and prove that they are intelligent. The only problem is that there are people, humans as well as some aliens that don't want the Earth to have a first contact. Tesa finds out that there are not one, but two intelligent creatures on Trinity."
