This book, by far, is the best of the X-wing series, and perhaps one of the best in the expanded Star Wars Universe. Aaron Allston expertly combines many elements--including romance, action, mystery, and even humor--into one exciting page-turner featuring General Wedge Antilles and his hand-picked Red Flight (Tycho Celchu, Wes Janson, and Hobbie Klivian) on a mission to the planet Adumar. This book is different than the other X-wing books in some ways; for example, Wedge must try to learn diplomacy and politics in time to claim Adumar for the New Republic--and make sure they are prepared for the Empire's retaliation! I would strongly recommend this book to any Star Wars fan who is not afraid to try something new, and if you haven't read the rest of the series, check that out too! | |||||||||||||||||||
