The Lord of the Rings It has everything: rivoting plot, memorable characters, beautiful/terrible settings, and universal themes. What's not to like? 3. Favorite scene in favorite book and why? At Bree, in "Fellowhsip", when Aragron pledges his future and loyalty to Frodo. 5. Which character do you identify most with and why? I'm partial to Gimli. He's short, but he doesn't let his size be a hindrance. Me too. 6. If you could see a sequel to one of the author's books, which would it be and what would it be about? I wouldn't mind seeing a prequel that takes us back to the First Age. 7. What do you like about author's writing style? Tolkien keeps his story moving at a good pace, but still manages to enchant us with his settings and engross us with his characters. 9. What could be most improved about this authors books? I've heard most of the criticism about Tokien's works. Frankly, I wouldn't change anything.
