Esteemed Scholar: V. Total Posts in Planet of the Apes 37 1. What character did you like the most and why? The chimp in the Alpha pod; he was a cute little sweetie. 2. What do you think of the acting abilities of your favorite actor? All of the ape acting was tremendous, but the human acting was lousy. What was the director thinking??? 3. What was your favorite scene in the movie and why? Charlton Heston's death scene; lots of funny nods to the orginal film. 4. What was your least favorite part of the movie and why? The "surprise" ending-- not to give anything away, but the final moments don't actually make sense when you stop to think about it. 5. What would you have liked to have seen more of in this movie? More bizarre Burton-esque touches. This film could have been made by almost anybody; only the Elfman score makes it distinctively Burton. 6. What would you like to see in a sequel? Better acting. 7. What makes this movie stand out from others? Not much, I'm sorry to say, and that's coming from someone whose favorite director is Tim Burton. 8. Any thoughts on the directing or production values? Oh Tim, why is there always SOMETHING wrong with almost every movie you make? Just how great was the blow job you must've gotten from that supermodel to make you cast her no-talent butt in this film? And did it not occur to you that Marky-Mark's speech to rally the human "troops" should have been the dramatic climax of the film, not just a throwaway moment? Next time please ask me before you release a film-- I'll be happy to take a look at it for you and help you fix it up... 9. Best line in movie "Get your filthy hands off me you damn dirty human!"
