Esteemed Scholar: JJ Total Posts in Timothy Zahn 33 1. Favorite book and why? Icarus Hunt - It is a fantastic detective and action novel that just happens to take place in a Sci Fi setting. 2. Least favorite book and why? Cascade Point and other stories. Each one of the 13 stories could easily be made into a novel (considering Timothy Zahn's tremendous talent). 3. Favorite scene in favorite book and why? The ending scene of the Icarus Hunt. As with many mystery novels, the ending scene wraps up all the loose ends. 4. Favorite character and why? Timothy Zahn has such rich characters, I really don't have a favorite. I often find myself as interested in the secondary characters, as I am in the main character. 5. Which character do you identify most with and why? I like them all, it is one of the many reasons I read so much of Zahn's work. 6. If you could see a sequel to one of the author's books, which would it be and what would it be about? The Icarus Hunt screams, "Sequel"! I can see more action - packed Hans Solo-like adventures with mysteries abound. I believe that almost every short story Zahn has written, because of his rich characters, unique ideas, and affinity for constant action, could easily be extrapolated into a novel (especially those contained in Cascade Point). 7. What do you like about author's writing style? Rich characters, unique ideas, and affinity for constant action. 8. What are your favorite themes of this author? The ingenuity of the human spirit will be our greatest asset for survival as a species. 9. What could be most improved about this authors books?
