Best Episode: All Too Human
What may be the best episode (so far) of Andromeda is "All Too Human", the episode where Rommie has to steal advanced technology from a planet. This episode is good for a number of reasons:
1) Trance, Harper, Beka, and the other lightweight/irritating characters have relatively minor roles; this is a Rommie episode, or a Rommie episode with some Tyr.
2) They decked out Rommie fine in this episode--black leather, spikey hairdo, extra collagen for her robotic lips--and she did all sorts of freewheeling acrobatics during her fighting scenes.
3) Tyr had some funny cynical lines, though his altruism at the end wasn't entirely convincing.
4) There was an actual adversary in this episode, the enemy AI, who was intelligent and three dimensional.
If more episodes could be like this--less Harper, more Rommie, less thoughtfulness, more action--the show would be even better. Better yet, why not just get rid of the other characters and have a show about Rommie?
