Anna, according to her website, Ms. Erskine's agent and publisher have both just read the first draft of her next novel and the deadline is soon. There are no hints indicating the subject matter though. Does anybody else know?

A firend that I work with put me onto these amazing books and I haven't looked back.
re: cheryl
Your book is misbound, you should be able to take it back to the bookstore/shop you purchased it at and get a replacement. The shop simply send it back to their supplier and recieve a credit.

I am desperate to know of any other authors to Barbara Erskine who write in the same genre. I have read 'The Knot Garden' by Gabrel King and cannot find any more like them

I loved Lady of Hay and was excited to read Kingdom of Shadows...unfortunately there was an error in my copy (just mine ?)...pages 39 to 86 are printed twice, so am missing pages 87 to 134.
Am trying to get in touch with the publishing company, but can't find an e-mail address...any ideas ????

Just read some peoples comments - all of Barbara Erskine's books are fabulous, and yes, they should be made into a film, I've thought that for years!
As an avid fan of all her books, I get my own friends and family on to them and then they can't get enough! It's like being on a drug!
Thank you Mrs Erskine for writing books that you just can't put down! They are a true joy. They grab you right into the story as if you have a part to play in it too.
Can't wait for the next! Deborah

I read Barbara Erskine's "House of Echo's"...borrowed it from the library. I'd love to purchase "all" of her books, every single one of them. Does anyone have Barbara Erskines's complete collection of Novels as well as the short story books that you would like to sell? I would only want to buy the books that are in very good condition. I do not want paperback-only Hardcover & each book must have it's dust jacket also in good condition. Also I need low prices for each book or one low price for the whole collection.

I agree with Tamzin about Lady of Hay making a great film. I have started ordering Barbara Erkine books on audio from my local library. My husband and I do a lot of travelling and he loves listening to them, I have read them all but it is good to hear them again.
Also Tamsin read Diana Gabaldons Outlander seres starting with Cross stitch (English title) you will love it.

I am 14 and Lady of Hay is the best book I have ever read. I have just finished reading it for the fourth time and think that it would make an incredible film.

I wish that the powers that be would make into films some of Barbaras books.Myself and my daughters are all avid readers and our only critiscism is you dont write fast enough!I think child of the pheonix was the best book I,ve ever read. I felt that I was really there, I could see the scenes and even smell it. Wonderful inspired writing. Judy

If you do a search typing using "Barbara Erskine", one of the choices will be her web site. I have tried leaving web addresses here in the past with no success. Her website states that her next book will be coming out in 2008. Does anybody have any clues to what it is about?

If you know the official website of Barbara Erskine, please let me know. To me, Child of the Phenix is the most interesting & I've named my daughter after the charactor with so much in her life.

I have read all of Barbara Erskines books, except for the short stories, several times and loved all of them. Daughters of Fire disappointed me a lot as I thought it was written to formula. Sorry Barbara, but I will be waiting for your next book anyway! Wendy

I have been a fan of Ms Erskine's for many years, having read Lady of Hay and Kingdom of Shadows many times over - from the age of 14, now am 33! Have read all novels and short stories, even a recent short story in The Sunday Express! Recently met Barbara at a talk and book signing which was amazing. For those looking for similar novels - Labrynth by Kate Mosse is a great read.

I read Lady Of Hay and was HOOKED. Absolutely the most skillfully constructed book I had ever read. From then on I watched eagerly for each new title and have read every one. I am now 3/4 of the way through Daughters Of Fire
