One thing that bothered me about the end of To Sail Beyond the Sunset was that they glossed over the part where Grandpa joins the family. Did he have any objections to this sort of thing? He certainly did in the 20th century. Even if he changed his mind, how long would it take him to consumate his relationship with each family member?
