I'd like a honest vote, raise of hands how many of you would pick up a book on werewolves, vampires, magicians or cupid.

Nobody has been on this message board in FOREVER. I have only read the song of the lioness series, and the first book in the series after that. They are really good. I can't wait to read the rest. More people should come on this message board. If you are reading this make a comment about the books, and if you have not read the books then read them and then make a comment! I hope Jon stays king. Long live King Jon!!!

I haven't been on here for a long time, and don't see anybody I recognize, unless people have changed their names. XD I don't remember if I actually posted on the Tamora Pierce forum or not in the past, but I might as well. She is my favorite author of all time! And I've read a LOT of books... And since I'm 21, and I still enjoy reading her books, that says a lot about her writing skills. The only disappointment I've had was when the Trickster's series went from being the normal quartet to being just two books... the second book seemed a little rushed, though I still enjoyed it... ^-^;;; I just like having more then one book to look forward to reading, I guess... I wait in anticipation for new books to come out by my favorite authors... *nods sagely* And I'll stop rambling. XD

I love Tamora Pierce, and I own all her books. I've been reading her books since the 4th grade and that was 9 years ago. I must say, I love them all, but I really like the books with Briar in them, mainly because she went out on a limb by writing from a boy's perspective. After reading Terrier, I hope she writes about Lady Knight Sabine of Macayhill. Her story sounds interesting. As for the last comment before me: if you like Tamora Pierce you might like "A Great and Terrible Beauty" and "Rebel Angels" by Libba Bray (a little different than Pierce's style, but still good), and "The Thief" and "The Queen of Attolia" by Megan Whalen Turner. The Turner books are fantastic, and the Bray books are a very close second. I suggest checking them out.

Hey! Shandrilene, don't you mean Numair? I can't wait for, well, all the books she has coming out! I also agree with you about the (main) characters, they are all special. Beka is tough but kind. Alanna is fierce yet gentle. Daine is good hearted but is willing to defend herself and others (by others, I mean animals). Kel is awesome. Aly is smart. Sandry is un-noble like in a fun way. Briar turned from hard to deal with street rat to a (somewhat) patient and strong mage (I think Rosethorn had a huge influence on him) Daja is strong both mentally and physically. Tris is, yes emotional but can usually channel them in a good way. Does that sound to exagerated? Oh well, Happy Holidays!

I like all of the characters in Tamora's books. Kel is definately unique. In one of the later books that Tamora wirtes about Tortall I wouldn't be surprised to find out that Kel ended up with Dom (Neil's cousin), they seemed to get on quite well and out of all of the guys that she liked during that time she always seemed to have a soft spot for him. Anyway I have finished the new book - Terrior: Beka Cooper, (it was only released here not that long ago..sigh and I had to wait for it to come out) and well... it was definately written in what seemed like a different style. But it was good. I can't wait to see what she writes about next. I really want to read the Trisana book that is on her 'To Do' list. It seems like it will be interesting as will the book the is in the works about Niko's early life before we know him...

My favorite part is in Squire, where Kel suprises the captian with her glaive.
