Who would Steve have been better off dating, Jaime, or a Fembot?
Now, Steve Austin, the Six Million Dollar Man, was obviously very attached to Jaime Sommers. But Jaime Sommers, let's face it, was more than a bit whiny and wimpy. Also, like all people, Jaime would tend to get old over time.
But a Fembot wouldn't have any of these disadvantages. What if Steve Austin got Dr. Franklin to take a surplus Callahan fembot out of storage and program it for his own personal use? She would never age, she would always have that bionic stamina Steve would need, she wouldn't mind cooking dinner while Steve Austin watched the superbowl; and Steve could loan her out to the OSI for dangerous missions when she wasn't busy cooking dinner or performing other wifely functions. What do you think of this solution to the Six Million Dollar Man's lonliness?

Nah, you see Fembots have no heart or personality and Jamie has. As for cooking abilities, well, Jamie cooks Steve a pie in 'Bionic Woman' shortly before her parachute accident. She's also quite active in her own right (bionics or not) and she's witty and answers back and Steve likes the challenge. A fembot would just be a witless stepford wife - not attractive to the bionic man.

I always thought the Death Probe was some kind of car. If you watch the finale in Part 2 of the original, where Steve is hanging from the helicopter and the probe is circling below, you can see big tire tracks its leaving on the cement.
