I dont suppose it always has to be the Federation, but seeing as how the protagonists of each show is a Starfleet ship, I can sorta see whay the Feds have to save the day. Not that I wouldnt mind seeing Klingons or Romulans take them on. That would be neat. Im just going off what I think Paramounts rationale to be. Klingons and Romlans DO get to fight Borg in the Star Trek Armada 2 PC game. Thats probably as close as theyre gonna get to accomodating you. But it's a really good game.

Okay, I can kinda accept the Borg being beatable, but...does it always have to be the Federation to beat the tough ones?
Maybe the Federation needed a good hiding by the Borg just before they attack earth, then get bailed out by the Romulans and Cardassians in the nick of time, along with the Species (Which I cant remember their assigned number) Species 90210 or something!
The federation then have to eat humble pie as they have been saved by their arch rivals for a long time.
Then, they all agree to meet to discuss their differences and put things right.
On the way to the meeting a Romulan Warship gets accidently rammed by Captain Kirks Coffin as it was whizzing through space at warp factor 9. The Romulans accuse the Federation of using the meeting to ambush them and they were deliberately set up to be torpedoed by Kirk.
The Cardassians get nervous that perhaps Scotties coffin is on a collision course and leg it away.
Meanwhile the Borg have accidently assililated Woody Allen, they all then start suffering from paranoia and come to the conclusion that Teamwork isn't all its cracked up to be, and head off in their own seperate ways, hoping to get accepted by whatever planet they chance apon.
And so it all starts over again...New series.

I agree Chakotay was humorless, uninspired and dull, but come on folks, what choices did Seven have? Paris taken, Doctor. puleeze, Neelix gone with the tramp, Tuvok good for sex once every 7 years and Harry Kim?
Never ask a Korean to eat your pussy. You will end up eith a dead cat but a very good pul kogee

they never explained WHAT Tuvok was rambling about at the asylum either. Or why Barclay was an authority on the Borg since we never saw him in any Borg related episodes, save for First COntact. Janeway probably didnt want to talk about Seven because she just might have been a bit jealous that Chakotay chose 7 over her, and that her death made him die of a broken heart. As for the BORG being unbeatable. They HAVE to be beatable! You HONESTLY expect The BORG to show up and assimilate Earthh? Itd all be over for the series if the Borg were unbeatable. Not as easily as Janeway did it, but still beatable is absolutely neccessary.

The final Episode seemed to be a patchwork of disjointed storylines. Althoughit took 23 years, how?? when it should have taken 75 years.
Also, in the scene where Janeway is taking questions fron students at the academy, she is asked a question about 7 of 9 and replies that she does not want to discuss her. I have scene all 7 series and I cannot understand this remark as there seemed to be clues to this reply. Unless I missed something.
The day the Borg became beatable by Picard and the boys in TNG it started losing interest.
They should have left the Borg their unbeatable nemesis to keep it interesting.

It WAS pretty emotionless because Robert Beltran himself thought the pairing was nonsensical and pointless. Beltran was well known for vocally stating problems with the way Berman and Braga wrote the scripts on many occasions. He even pointed out that Braga wrote in a script the previous year that Seven had eliminated Chakotay from a list of potential mates. So I wouldnt be too hard on him, he's clearly doing those scenes only out of contractural obligation, its clear on his face he thinks its BS.
