(click here) TV-Commentary - Xena How could anyone like Joxer? Joxer was a total waste of space. He was supposed to be comic relief, but he wasn't funny, just dumb. Gabrielle used to be comical before she became a butch warrior. If she had stayed in that role they wouldn't have needed to add anyone else. Also, the only reason Ted Raimi (The actor playing Joxer) got such a bumbling-idiot-ish role is because his older brother is the one who not only runs both Xena and Hercules, but owns the characters as well.
