When did Xena stop being interesting?
There were a number of declines in the series but the last straws were when
1) They cut off Gabrielle's hair and gave her the butch look
2) She became a peaceloving yoga hippie who would only blow dust at people in battle
3) The number of silly "funny" episodes increased from 1 out of 4 to 1 out of 2. One particularly awful episode that comes to mind is when Gabrielle became a fish in love with Joxer, or when Xena was a housewife in present day America.
4) Way way too many amazon episodes where nothing much happened except that they taught the amazon leader to become more sensitive.
The series was best when it was serious (though with touches of humor), and when they were fighting evil villains, and when Xena growled, screamed, and did some backflips.

I stopped watching after that incident with the giant chicken.
As a matter of fact (by pure chance) I saw one of those fake behind-the-scences episodes and a director was looking at the giant chicken fight and said to the writer's "What the hell were you thinking?"

The show declined in plot for me but i still watched every minute for the fight scenes,pranks,and at times lame sexual references,but that's what made it a funny show too,so when did it really decline? for me it was taking them out of europe more then 3 times....and not returning for the final episode!

Season 5 and 6 were the worst seasons. Of course there we're good episodes, but the bad outweighed the good unfortunately.

i,ve allways thougt xena was interstingwhether the episodes were good or bad i like the showi used to have a fantasy that her and i would be in a old house and screw our brains ourall night in aremote area
