I'd like to see something along the lines of the dc comics revisiting of the village they did with co-operation from Nc Goohan during the 80s

According to a french interview in Destination: Series, Patrick will not only play a cameo in the movie The Prisoner; but instead he will play number 1 (no 1) role. The caracter suppose to be a nice good man...
Hope this adaptation will be as good as Peter Jackson adaptation of Lord of the rings novels.

Pierce Brosnan as #6....Patrick McGoohan, Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Patrick Macnee in cameos or supporting roles as inhabitants or governors of The Village. This could be a great movie with the right director and writers...

First a cameo for Patrick Mcgoohan as a part of the establishment in The Village. The same location, upgraded Rover effects and spying technology. That gal who hosted the Weakest Link as one of the Number 2's. A different ending to the captivity with a twist of some kind.(Something like making him think this was all some sort of bad dream that never happened). A kicker of a sound track , maybe a touch of Tim BUrton to give it a surrealistic feel.

Brothers & sisters, fellow coverts, I've lost my faith in The New Prisoner Movie. It's literally been years since I came here believing in the many happy returns of number 6. All of us came here believing that his return was possible if not imminant. All of us once had faith in "him". Saddly, he has not spoken to us even once in all these many years.
There is for me, no longer any hope in a Prisoner movie, nor is there any reason to stay here and ponder it's potential or it's possibilities. We must now confront the fact that evidence of his resurrection is not forthcoming, in fact, it's virtually non-existant. Therefore, I for one am leaving to find a more substantial conspiracy. One based on fact and not merely fiction.
I have hope that the wise among you will find the strength within yourselves to abandon this pointless excercise in search of a more significant and enduring message of hope.
In any case . . . Be seeing you.

Do it, but change the location towards Germany. Use Smarts instead of MiniMokes. Bruno Gantz would be an excellent No.6. And keep the bikes!

1.Keep the cast and locations British.
2.Rowan Atkinson to play no.6 in a straight role , he could do it!
3. Stephen Fry as his interlectual mentor.
4.Carol Vordemann, scantilly dressed as the provocative and thinking
no.2, who provides the love interest- does he or doesn' he? hmmmm....
5.Get Richard Curtis to write it.
6.Audience participation! Have underlying mystery-as a sub plot- that can only be solved by visiting the locations and looking for clues with some sought of prize once solved!
7. Hugh Laurie to play...well, anyone
just get him in the script!

I'd give anything to see a quality movie produced. Hopefully something true to the series and not overly predictable or sequential. I'd like to see McGoohan as #1. I was actually thinking that perhaps it would be nice to use an older actor in the role of #6. Maybe it could be Anthony Hopkins as #6? Ian Mckellen as #2?

I am nervous about any attempt at a Prisoner movie being made. For one thing it would have to be made with an entirely British crew and cast. Why? Simply because The American interpretation of it would loose a lot of the unique britishness the original TV show had. American film while good tends to be too slick and underestimates the itelegence of the viewer tending to go for the classic action and F/X.

The Prisoner would not be the Prisoner without Patrick McGoohan as Number 6. Don't do it!

Yes, it would be great to see the Prisoner movie, however, remember the movies of these shows: Avengers, some Star Treks, Twilight Zone, Twin Peaks, X Files, etc. These were icons of television, but a let down in their movie versions for me. Let the Prisoner live on in our memories as it was and not as someone recreates it for commercial viability.
