(click here) TV-Commentary - Babylon 5 What's with the "zoooom!" sound the PPG's made? One thing that always confused me about those little PPG guns--how come they always made a "zooming" powerup sound simply when they were pointed? There was one episode when Sheridan almost attacked a dockworker and then put a power cartridge into the PPG, and that made the zooming sound. That made some sense. But most times the sound was made simply when they pointed the gun. Don't seem to be any controls on the PPG, just the trigger, and most time we don't see any hand action that would indicate changing a setting (such as "set PPG on stun").
