Our musical finished up last weekend and it was so sad saying goodbye to everyone. I cried. I felt like a baby. It's sad knowing you'll never get to do a show with the seniors ever again. Of course, I laughed when all the guys de-pantsed a guy and stood in a circle around him with their pants around their ankles doing a tribal dance to the "Lion King" soundtrack in the guys' dressing room...wow. any-who. Talk to you guys later. "Into the woods and out of the woods...and happy ever after!"

This show is about community and the ramifications of getting all you wish. It is a study of human behavior and group dynamics that show you what people are ultimately made of- who can adapt and who cannot. It punishes and is unforgiving and also allows for those with less than stellar qualities to survive- while innocents do not. A favorite of mine- I have had the opportunity to play Jack and the Baker and wish ....well, I hope(!) people will always want to produce this great show- although it is not easy and casting it appropriately can be a challenge. Good luck to any and all who get to perform this jewel of a musical.

Well my production run is almost over, its been so much fun as snow white i was at first bummed but its been so much fun.Since my part is small i've been able to help with a lot tech stuff since our techies aren't that great.I love agony reprise-dwarves are very upsetting-.It has added laughter because my prince is around 6 feet tall.

I got cast as snow white in our production at my school too. I'm also propmaster and pretty much in charge of the pitband too considering the director was a last minute fill in (our choir student teacher) and he has no clue what he's doing lol. It's such a fun show to do! Our first show is tomorrow night and It's gonna be so much fun! I'm kinda down about having such a small part, but I've got two years of drama left. I absolutely loved working on this show, and building the set was fun too. Break a leg at your shows everyone! Let me know how the shows go for you! Pyrate Rose

Is there a website that has questions, like a test on it about this show?

Hello everyone my school is doing the show also and we are down to the last 11 days and we are having a live orchestra.I've been cast as snow white not a big role but this is my 2nd time doing the show granted the first one was the junior show.OUr stage looks like a bunch of tree roots and its very fun how we are doing granny house

For the centerpieces - try cinderella shoes - most wedding shops have this because it's a common wedding theme. Into the Woods is literal (they go into them to get where they are going) and it also means life's adventures. You have to go through struggles in life but when you come through you are better for it. You can just sit in your 'bakery' and wish you had your dreams or your 'child' or you can take a risk and go 'into the woods' to try and get what you seek.

We are putting on a production of Into the Woods at our school. We are doing the play cabaret style with tables in the audience. Does anyone have ideas on different centerpiecesthat would tie in with the themes of the play? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Diane

in out production we had a hidden pocket on the uostage side of the cow, and made it look llike you where puting your hand in it's mouth, when you are really tucking it into the side pocket! Have fun!

The commentator Cinderella posts a message on 2/28/2005 4:58:49 PM

I saw that some have been cast as Cinderela, and recently completed a production. She is actually a hard character beacause everyone already has the disney stereo type stuck in their head, which they must break free from. Cinderella (although she does talk to birds) is smart, gracefull, polite, and likes to get her way! In general she is a very extreamly sympathetic person, and feels bad for everyone, so break a leg (slipper) all yous cindies out there!

I'm a teacher's aid at the Elementary school here, and I am directing "Into the Woods Junior" which is basically just the first act. My problem is the cow; I've decided to cast Milky White as well as the hen. Does anyone know a good way to make Milky White's costume so that we can conceal the items without the kid having to eat them?

Hi guys, I just auditioned last night, and got the part of Cinderella!! I'm really happy, but kinda freaked. So, ANY tips you could give me on her songs, her acting, ANYTHING, I would love!! Thanks
