Hal, Sarge and Cleo stop themselves by using their webspinners. But if they're falling rapidly and activate their webspinners a) won't the resulting sudden jerk pull off their arms? b) why aren't they constantly slamming into the walls when they get pulled by one of their web connections? I think the creators of the show recognized these problems, which is why they introduced the "rocket boots" that Hal wears to give them a way to slow down and steady their landing. But we've never seen engines built into her shoes; what powers them?
