the movie just didn't have the suspense found in the book. instead, they focused too much on the special effects and the romance drama, completely ignoring the suspense. it seems like all the harry potter films try so hard to be entertaining, that they dismiss the rush feeling you get when you read the books. the books make you want to read on so you get answers, the movies don't do that all. its like they assume all viewers have read the books.

They definitely left out essential parts. They should have showed the characters discuss Crouch's death. And Crouch finding about Moody because of the tongue thing was stupid. They should have just showed Crouch walking past Harry, talking to himself about seeing Dumbledore, in a panic. And then Moody could have explained later that he killed him. And Crouch Jr. should have briefly explained how he escaped prison. And they should have never shown Crouch Jr. at the beginning, we should have thought he was dead. However, I did think most of the scenes that were deleted were not entirely important to the overall plot and so it was fine for them to be cut out. I just wished they made the movie more clearer, understandable, and suspenseful. Overall, I liked the film. They had a lot of funny parts and action.

I think all the Harry Potter movies are going to stink.

Oh hi Echo I never knew anyone posted here anymore seeing it was ancient when I first posted. I was talking about school! But I didn't like the World Cup at all!

Oh, right, that part. I thought NZ meant the Quidditch at the school. Yeah, the Quidditch World Cup was a disappointment. They only showed, like, one minute.

There was Quidditch in the 4th book... in case you didn't catch the words "Quidditch World Cup" at least 100 times in the first few chapter...

There wasn't any Quidditch in the fourth book either, lol. I really liked Rita Skeeter.

Jeez that really was a bad movie to me. The book was so much more better. If you didn't read the book you woudn't get the movie well. Like my sister kept on asking me what was happening. They cut out the Quittich Game!:@

These people are not doing the proper things to ensure that the actors stay loyal to the charactors of the book!
They dropped SPEW which comes up later in the other books as a BIG thing. They dropped Dobby and that other elf. When they really shouldn't have. Seeing as how they both come back in the near future. I really dont like the new dumbledor being there. He's too... mean. hahaha. Way to forward with Harry, too pyshical when dealing with hardships. I hope they know what they are doing for the next couple of movies. They took out the sence where they meet Sirius too. And the fire sence.. omg that was pathetic. I expected it to be an actual Fire. Not the ashes.
I hope the director knows what he is doing.
Positive note: I love Fred and George. They are awesome in that movie.

The dragon chasing scene was ridiculous! It lasted forever and was really 'cinematized' (know what I'm saying?) It was so dumb how they had to exagerate the whole scene. Falling off a Hogwarts tower? Pleaaaaaaase...

I liked the movie, mostly. It was horribly disappointing that they dropped SPEW and left Hermione bland and boring.
But Quidditch World Cup and the crowd roaring "Krum!", the dragon chasing Harry on the broomstick and the confrontation with Voldemort were all magnificent.
I still have a problem with an international contest where 60% of the judges are English??? The Grindylow contest, Harry thinks his friends are in real danger and rescues everybody. Krum and Cedric know it's just a contest, no-one is in real danger. But Fleur believes it is for real.
It makes no sense, either in the book or in the movie.

Did you guys feel slightly disappointed about the movie? I felt like a lot of stuff was omitted, and not the stupid stuff, but good stuff. I didn't like the actor who played Moody. There were good things about the movie though. What are your opinions?
