TV-Commentary - Doctor Who
Best Episodes: The Deadly Assassin
The Doctor gets a telepathic vision of the President of Gallifrey being assassinated and hurries back home. However since his arrival is unauthorized he gets chased as a fugitive. He gets to the gallery and finds the rifle, and apparently aims it and kills the President.

In reality, however, the Doctor was aiming at someone he saw who was about to shoot the president in the crowd (for some reason, no other time lord saw the shooter). But the sites on the gun were altered so he couldn't hit anything.

Still, the Doctor is put on trial for murder, and the only way he can delay it is to declare his candidacy for president. He investigates and find some shrunken doll bodies, a sign that the Master is around. He then goes into the Matrix, sort of a mental virtual reality, to find out who assassinated the president.

There he is hunted by Chancellor Goth, who shoots him with a rifle, tries to poison him, tries to strafe him with an airplane, and tries to run him over with a railroad train. The Doctor survives all this and "kills" Goth virtually. After the Doctor unplugs himself they discover the bodies of Goth and the Master--apparently dead.

Of course, the Master isn't dead, and he's soon up and about, using the Rod of Rassillon to open the doorway to a black hole or star that will destroy Gallifrey but give the Master the power he needs to regenerate. The Doctor smacks him around a bit and pushes him into the black hole or star and saves the day.

The Master, of course, isn't dead, and heads off in his Tardis (a clock) to chase after the Doctor again.

It is hard to say which one was the best. They were all very delightfull. I guess my favorite episode was Death to the Daleks. This is where the doctor lands on this planet where this machine absorbs all electrical energy which not only operates the TARDIS and the daleks neutralizers.
