Best Episodes: The Invisible Enemy
The Doctor and Leela land on a small lunar base when things start going wrong immediately. An alien virus is taking over crewmembers; when they get zapped, they develop bad eye makeup, start acting woodenly, and say, "Contact has been made."
They try to make contact with Leela, but she's too dumb for the intelligent virus to make a home in. But then the virus plants itself in the Doctor, and prepares to reproduce there.
So the Doctor has a version of himself and Leela miniaturized and implanted inside his brain. There they start a journey into the center of the brain where the virus has invaded. Meanwhile in the real world K9 has to hold off the invaders while the Doctor deals with his infection.
The sets are obviously very imaginative as many of them take place inside the Doctor's brain. Cool episode!

I really don't think we can ever decide on a "best ever" story, as there are so many variables and so many doctors, and it all depends on extremely subjective opinion.
There are good [and occasionally bad] things to say about each Doctor and each story.

'The invisible enemy' the best doctor who episode! dont make me laugh, there are so many that I cannot just talk about one. Caves of Androzani is the obvious choice for this. Genesis of the Daleks and The war games are masterpieces as well as some of the late Mccoy episodes were amazing. You should be ashamed for thinking that a story with the only highlight is the introduction of K-9, the only successful robot companion (Kameleon is another companion) Put on the two best regeneration stories Peter Davison and Patrick Troughton's exits.

History is going to be made on August 27, this Saturday night! The first official Space 1999 party is to be held at The Funhouse in Williamsburg NY. This is the ultimate party to end the summer and will leave New York scorched!
This multimedia event will feature special screenings of select episodes, drink give aways, trivia and the exciting sounds of Great Britain-Shoegaze, Disco and Cool Britannia.
Also starring Martin Landau, Barbara Bain , Catherine Schell and plenty of Symbolic Illusions, Alien Machinations and Divine Interventions!
The Funhouse is located in Brooklyn at 160 N. 4th St. at the corner of Bedford Ave. just a few minutes from the subway stop. In Manhattan take the L train into Brooklyn and get off at the Bedford Ave stop.
The event starts at 10:00pm and will end...
It's going to be a F. A. B. event!

I don't really know if this was the BEST episode, but it's the one I rewatch the most often. I like the Victorian Limehouse setting, the two gentlemen who assist the Doc and Leela, and the Peking Homonculus! Lots to like in this episode (except for the cheesy giant rat). My husband likes Leela in wet Victorian underclothes, too.
