TV-Commentary - Star Wars Revenge of the Sith Episode III
Whose acting in Revenge of the Sith was most wooden?
There was a lot of wooden acting in Revenge of the Sith. Whose was worst?

1) When the Emperor went into rubber mask mode he changed his voice and started to repeat all the Star Wars cliches ("Search your feelings"...)

2) Samuel L. Jacksonobi looked like he was reading from cue cards.

3) When Anakin and Padme were exchanging their love lines the audience was laughing.

So whose acting do you think was most wooden?

I agree with arie. but i would soooo kill off all the cheesy people on the good side if i were anikin, which i am not thank goodness, he is very petty at times. mmmm i would call myself Darth... hmmm not sure... nvrmind!

The worst dialogue, the part that made me shake my head and want to cry out in agony, was this: "You're so beautiful." "Only because I'm so in love." "No, it's because I'm so in love with you." Not the actors fault, but romance in the movie wasn't handled well. I think the rest was fine.

The commentator Bang Bang posts on 12/17/2005 3:51:16 PM

I think the worst actor was the hospital droid near the end of the movie, when he's telling Obi-Wan and Bail Organa that Padme's dying. Instead of saying "she's experiencing renal failure, her liver's damaged," etc., the robot simply says, "she's lost the will to live." What kind of medical diagnosis is that?? The second-worst actor award should go to Anakin, who did not hunt down and disembowel Jar-Jar Binks after turning to the Dark Side. What's the use of going bad if you aren't going to have some fun?

aliciaskywalker posts on 12/17/2005 7:16:01 AM

I agree really. It was a great movie, it just had a few cheesy lines.

Ithorian posts on 8/26/2005 1:31:03 PM

Yeah i s'pose it wasn't the actors fault. But the lines were actually the worst ive ever heard in a movie.

The commentator shax2 posts on 7/29/2005 1:34:30 AM

i don't blame the actors really! they can only work with what they are given with, and most of it was GOOD. only a wee bit was bad. the worst scene where i really literally put my head down and started laughing was when mrs. skywalker said "hold me like you did back at the lake on naboo" THAT WAS PRETTY BAD. but you know what, it doesn't matter much because THE MOVIE WAS AWESOME!!!

Ithorian posts on 7/27/2005 4:55:13 AM

What was up with the word "Younglings". And Obi Wan's line "Another Happy Landing" Which he said while smiling OR when he said, "How did this happen. We're better than this". Eat Me: Why would you care about a spelling mistake?

The commentator Allie posts on 6/20/2005 6:06:27 PM

As an actor I can say that alot of the acting every1's slamming is bc of a bad director and script (read the screenplay it horrible). And none of the actors in the movie r bad actors. Thinkl about it SLJ is 1 of the most respected actors in modern film, NP has a Golden Globe for her work and HC (Anikin), I kno he hasn't done many mainstream films, but look at the quality of his indie work, he was nominated for a Gloden Globe for Life As A House, he manages 2 hold his own against Kevin Kline, a Juilliard trained actor (and one of my personal favs) and his work in Shattered Glass, a well writen scrpit, but nothing special, but its 1 of the best acted movies I've ever seen. If ur wondering if the bad acting in Star Wars was the result of bad actors of a bad director, just look at some of the other works the actors have done.

The respected commentator Maddog posts on 6/20/2005 12:03:34 AM

Actually I enjoyed Revenge of the Sith ten million times more than either "The Phantom Menace" or "Attack of the Clones". I felt that this was just below Empire Strikes Back in quality. And Empire is my favorite of all the Star Wars movies. I do agree that Lucas cannot write very well. However this movie was just a bit of a redemption to the prequel trilogy. As for the acting? I thought Anakin was pretty good this time around and I didn't feel that the acting was so bad at all.

The commentator wallruss54 posts on 6/19/2005 9:06:36 PM

I hope the guy who played anakin in the last two movies has enough money to go to college, because he does not have the talent for another film. And the script, couldn't they have paid a real screenwriter to write the dialogue? I mean, DUH! I laughed so hard through it, my brother-in-law was sorry he invited me. Is Mel Brooks up to doing a spaceballs sequel?

darth revan posts on 6/15/2005 7:03:03 PM

there is some really rubbish acting such as when anakin tells mace about palpatine he says something like "i've just learnt a terrible truth" he said it without feeling just as if he was going to say someting trivial. what makes it worse is when mace replies "a sith lord?" he couldn't put less effort into it if he tried. it was probably the worst acted scene in star wars

The commentator EAT ME posts on 6/15/2005 6:44:17 PM

ITHORIAN, first of all americansized is with a capital A and second of all if you thought that the lines were cheesy why didn't you cover your ears.

Ali posts on 6/14/2005 4:05:09 PM

I think all they're acting was superb and your wrong. Padme could have been a little bit better at time but it wa all top notch. The worst acting in the film goes to the little kid in the Jedi temple who says "Master Skywalker, what shall we do!?"

The commentator regnob posts on 6/14/2005 1:18:52 PM

ya know you people amaze me what are you talkin about bad acting first off we are talkin about samuel jackson one of the greatest actors of our time as some one has pointed out have you never seen pulp fiction and when palpantine changed over and started (spouting) as you call it was done on purpose you did not hear the original actors voice over his i guess some peopple are jus dense and i do not remember anyone laughing when anikan and pad me had a love scene besides you all just baffle me becouse you know you .loved the movie and you know you clapped or cried when it ended and the fact that you can sit there and trash it the way you are is just showing you for the unintelligent sheep you are and by the way whats wrong with the cgi look at it this way if this tecnology was available 30 years ago they all would have been that way so why dont you just admit to liking the film and enjoy it for what it is worth a good film and a good experiance

Ithorian posts on 6/11/2005 12:56:53 PM

The lines in Ep. 3 are the most americanised and cheesy lines out of all the movies.

Featherbrain posts on 6/5/2005 1:15:33 AM

Hehehe...grump: you're saying just exactly what all the reviews are saying, and, unfortunately, I agree with you. But StarWars is Starwars, you know...

GRUMP posts on 6/4/2005 6:57:34 PM

None of them are BAD actors, particularly Jackson... ever seen Pulp Fiction? Lucas' script and poor direction is the obvious culprit. He tries (without success) to cover it up with flashy CGI trash between every 10 second cut scene.

Featherbrain posts on 6/4/2005 3:15:39 AM

Nonono! Padme would not have got by in my JC beginning acting class. I can just see the teacher: "where is the subtext?!?" Anakin, at least, seemed to believe in where he was.

       Darth Sar'lana posts on 6/3/2005 8:23:10 PM

I think the worst acting was when padame said "your breaking my heart". That was almost a soap opera.

kyranlovespadme posts on 6/3/2005 9:06:44 AM

i think it was when mace windu had a fight with the chancelor, samuel l jackson just cant act when it comes to fighting
