My very favorite episode of the original, true, and better "Battlestar Galactica" was the two-part "War Of The Gods"!!!
GINO SUCKS!!! There is no very best episode of GINO

Yeah, I think "Kobal's last Gleaming" will have to take the slot as the best Battlestar galatica episode ever.

Had to put a little bit of Mormonism in the plot. The problem I hadwith the original series was the attitude the Colonials had after getting whipped. Oh just happy..not a problem in the world....just blew up all my relatives but no problem. And not a mention of what happened on the home worlds. And not all of them were human, some were humanoid.

"War of the Gods" was a fantastic 2-part episode, dwelling on the age-old conflict between good and evil. I always liked the Ship of Lights in that storyline. "Fire in Space" was another good episode...but it seems in every show, the Cylons would crash into the landing bay, causing a fire. Didn't it ever occur to Adama to put a door in front of the thing?

Any one with the Imperious Leader. One of the best sci-fi villians. My Favorite one and I the only BG DVD I have is the first movie cause it was in it for more than 1 sceen. Need Living Legend part 2 cause I think it's in it too. "Report Centerion" "Baltar you time has come to an end" LOL.

My personal favorite would be the "Fire in Space" episode.
Finally, the Cylons get smart. Don't try and shoot the Battlestar down, simply ram it!!!

I was still in diapers when the original Battlestar Galactica ran. I had to content myself to watching reruns of it. From what I remember, it was a Kiddie show, compared to the new Galatica, which is why i prefer the new one. There's enough kiddie junk out there!

Hey, I am a really grumpy old man who hates the New Battlestar Galactica. I have very little time to do anything other than be upset at the fact that there's an entirely new series taking a different look at an old idea.
It also really annoys me that Star Trek had other things like "Deep Space 9" and "Voyager". I mean, what's next, a Gay captain? maybe they could all wear skipper outfits. Deep Space 9? More like Deeply Unimportant! Hahaha!
Anyway, back to this "new" "Battlestar Galactica". I think that people who like it shouldn't be allowed to exist in this society. It is obviously a sign of their inherent inferiority that they like this show.
Which is why I'm glad I found this website! I'm really looking forward to some comments, and maybe finding some fellow "new" "Battlestar Galactica" haters that I can devote several hours ranting with.

The old series got off track when they came across Terra and the two factions fighting over control of their areas of influence.

I kinda' liked "The long Patrol," where Starbuck test-flies an experimental Viper, which is then stolen by someone else. Starbuck ends up in a prison where the cell doors aren't locked, but sees paintings on the cell wall of Earth, apparently done by a person long ago called the "Silent One."

did 33 even have a script? i thought they were just putting the actors in front of the cameras and having them say whatever came to mind.
a question about 33. the episode begins with a soaking wet, comatose boomer sitting in her room. what did she do, open the door to these humongus water tanks on the galactica, dive in and set the explosive charges underwater? come on, talk about unbelievable.
the greatest episode of the real galactica is "war of the gods."

I remember that episode, and you're right...it was lame. Their whole civilization was destroyed and all they wanted to do was party on that planet. They must have been suffering from disco fever. Come to think about it....the cylons were so bumbling and stupid, that means the people on Battlestar Galactica were complete morons.

Maybe it was when they went to the disco planet and had a party after their entire civilization was destroyed. I remember that very well. It warmed my heart that the last remains of humanity could let their fear and mourning of the loss of billions of people. I had therapy for years after learning that it wasn't a true reflection of reality.

There doesn't appear to be a romance going on yet as Starbuck is trapped on Caprica, tripping on anti- radiation medicine. Starbuck and Apollo appear to be only close friends. I did think there was going to be something between Baltar and Starbuck but when she caught him whacking off during a mind f*ck with #6 she wrote him off as a wacko.

Hey guys if you read this I hope I can get some answers :) Ok here aside from Boomer, Number six and the cylon centurions, how many kinds cylons are there in BSG? On the original series, how was everything resolved in the end, from finding Earth to defeating the Cylons? BTW there was and article about BSG on tvguide.
