What happened to Padme's family? Did they ever meet Luke and Leia?

Maria, without this scene, nobody would ever understand how Obi-Wan, Yoda and Anakin appear in spirit form to Luke in Return of the Jedi. Anyhow, Revenge of the Sith is the best prequel!

The most moving moment for me was Obi Wan handing infant Luke to them on the very spot where they will die...

At the end of the movie, yoda tells obi-wan that his old master qui-gon jinn has learned the path to immortality. Yodi tells him that he wants to train him to communicate with qui-gon jinn. I don't understand the importance of this scene. Why was it put in there? Did I miss something in the original Star Wars about qui-gon jinn? Any info would be appreciated

i was just wondering how Sidious knew of anakin's secret the one about anakin dreaming of padme's death?
when sidious mentioned to anakin that he knows the power to keep their loved ones from dying. how could he know that it's wat anakin wanted even when master yoda and obi-wan had no idea wats troubling anakin.
is it because of wat yoda said in episode 1 when he said "fear leads to the dark side" and "fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate and hate leads to suffering" (im not quite sure if those are the exact words but its in that context)
so because of anakin's fear of padme's death, sidious sensed it instead of obi-wan or yoda bec its a "dark side" feeling and therefore used it to his advantage?
and thats y in the end everyone suffered (jedis, younglings) all bec of anakin's fear
if someone's got a diff opinion pls tell me

What do mean, where is George Lucas? He isn't actually IN the movie, is he? I thought he just wrote and directed it, not that he was an extra, too.

To Daniel: Luke does not win over Vader, Vader saves Luke from the Emperor (Sidious) then turns good right before he dies.

Fandaddy... I also think Sidious was doing a little acting, But he was in danger, he had been hurt by his battle with Mace. The trick was, I think he put himself in that danger intentionally to draw out Anakin's ambitions and selfish needs to save Padme. It was a risky and costly gamble but obviously it paid off. I mean he didn't let it go so far as to allowing himself to be mortaly wounded, just enough to make it look good. Had Anakin not acted at all he would have defended himself... look how well he dealt with Yoda.
As far as Darth Vader goes, we all know he pretty much was a big bully, with even biggger back-up. He basically had a really great job as head muscle. I also think it is sad that he didn't have any real astounding accomplishments, like besting 4 highly skilled jedi like the emporer did. Or throwing down with Mace at least to a draw. But don't undermine besting a seasoned vet like Dooku, or his first battle with Obi, I mean he probably could have beat Obi had his Ego not gotten in the way. Anakin/Vader was definitely a beast, but definitely not the greatest of all time.

I've always liked darth vader cause it is a powerful character.
But, sadly... G Lucas only made him look like a baby killer.
He faces 3 Jedis on the entire 6 movies and has only one real victory. First, he looses against Dooku, then he defeats Dooku, Then he looses against Kenobi, then kenobi lets vader win, and then he is defeated by his son!
Darth Vader is supposed to be powerful...I expected to see him killing many Jedis in Episode 3, not the younglings.

Ifeel that The Emperor had everything in control and was never in any real danger from Mace Windu. I think he was faking for Anakin's sake. He needed for Anakin to be there and take part. What do you all think?
