"The Bringers of Wonder"--do the Alphans need glasses?
"The Bringers of Wonder" was a weird episode featuring these really disgusting looking gloppy aliens who put the Alphans under mind control and convinced them they were going back to earth. Only in reality they were getting them to blow up their nuclear waste so the gloppy aliens could snack on the energy.
Only Koenig could see through this, of couse, and he's forced to smack Alan and some expendable crewmembers around to prevent them from blowing up the nuclear waste, and then poof! the aliens conveniently disappear.
I have two questions--first, when the Alphans hugged the aliens, thinking they were long-lost friends, didn't they get some of the gloppy stuff on them? And two, how come aliens always manage to take over the entire crew and control their minds, but not Koenig?
I mean, some of them are especially weak-minded (Paul, Sandra, Kano, and Helena come to mind); but what made Koenig stronger than the others? Do you think it's because he was always angry, and was more difficult to take over because he was so hostile?
